About the role#
This student worker position supports Barrett Food Service or Catering operations at Arizona State University. You will assist with daily food preparation and service while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role is a paid, full-time opportunity available for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Set up, break down, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and ensure product levels remain stocked.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and focus on guest satisfaction.
- Follow company safety policies, including food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- This role is open to students in majors including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nutrition, and Kinesiology.
