Knorr-Bremse AG is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join the team in Westminster, Maryland for the Summer 2026 term. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will contribute to the development of braking systems and climate-control equipment for the mass transit market.
What you'll do#
- Support the design of mechanical components.
- Assist in testing new products according to specific product requirements.
- Perform 3D CAD drafting of products and individual components.
- Conduct technical analysis regarding tolerances, stress/strain, statics, dynamics, and heat transfer.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software, specifically NX or Creo.
- Basic knowledge of materials and machine design.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Compensation: Paid internship with an anticipated wage scale of $16.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on class year.
