    About the role#

    The Innovation Hub Knoxville is seeking a Materials Science Engineering Fellow to join the project team. This role focuses on material research and innovation within the North American region, contributing to applied research and development for the Volkswagen Group.

    What you'll do#

    • Support material science laboratory operations.
    • Receive training on and utilize material characterization equipment.
    • Assist with material characterization tasks.
    • Contribute to Life Cycle Assessment projects.
    • Support cost calculations for production processes.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a university or college program, or graduation within the last six months.
    • Preferred: Masters or PhD students in Automotive, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
    • Beneficial: Prior knowledge of material characterization or experience in creating Life Cycle Assessments.
