About the role#
This internship supports the Information Systems department by assisting with assigned tasks and projects. You will gain a practical understanding of business functions and technical support specialties. The role involves working under the guidance of staff, senior, and consultant professionals to build your technical skills. This position is 100% on-site.
What you'll do#
- Learn to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot computers and various hardware devices.
- Document notes and resolutions for technical issues within the ITIL ticketing system.
- Support new and existing systems while keeping up with technology changes.
- Implement enterprise security policies for hardware and software.
- Participate in projects that meet the needs of the department or facility.
- Update support staff on the status of incidents and service requests.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong research, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Ability to solve problems in a graceful and sensitive manner.
- Capability to work in a service-oriented environment.
- Physical ability to transport IT equipment, climb stairs or ladders, and operate tools requiring manual dexterity.
- Preferred: Enrollment in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration programs.
Location & details#
- Location: Key Bank Tower, Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Weekly hours: 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $17.68 to $24.75 per hour, depending on experience.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
