About the role#
Saint Luke's East Hospital is hiring a Nursing Intern to join the Cardiovascular Recovery Unit in Lees Summit, Missouri. You will assist with the care of patients recovering from Cath and EP Lab procedures, as well as those with various cardiac conditions and acute respiratory needs. This position is open to students currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
What you'll do#
- Perform clinical procedures and provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Carry out direct and indirect patient care activities.
- Support other members of the health care team.
- Complete technical tasks once you have received unit competency validation.
- Please note that interns are restricted from performing any licensed tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program with an expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing or Med Surg course.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
