About the role#
Knife River Corporation is offering a Cybersecurity Internship in Bismarck, North Dakota. This role provides on-the-job training and skill development within a construction industry environment. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members on daily security operations.
- Participate in structured on-the-job training.
- Assist the team with various cybersecurity tasks.
- Support incident response efforts.
- Maintain consistent communication with team leads.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in a degree program for Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related Information Technology field.
- Strong academic performance.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including encryption, phishing, access control, least privilege, security logging, and vulnerability management.
- Ability to follow directions and maintain workflow in assigned areas.
- Ability to handle proprietary and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and interest in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Location & details#
- Location: Bismarck, North Dakota.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Minimum of 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
