About the role#
Gain real-world accounting experience with Knife River in Belgrade, Montana. This internship provides exposure to various accounting department procedures and principles. The role is part-time, requiring approximately 20 or more hours per week to accommodate your school schedule.
What you'll do#
- Reconcile plant daily cash summary reports.
- Assemble support documentation for customer refunds.
- Assist with customer pre-lien notifications.
- Perform scanning and filing tasks.
- Assist in researching and resolving customer accounts receivable issues.
- Provide coverage for the inter-company mail route.
- Handle other department duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for accounting or a related field.
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in computer skills, with a focus on Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions, maintain workflow, and handle difficult situations.
- Ability to maintain proprietary and confidential information.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
