About the role#
Knife River is hiring an Accounting Clerk Intern in Belgrade, Montana. This role offers hands-on experience with accounting procedures and principles. The position is part-time, typically requiring 20 or more hours per week to fit your class schedule.
What you'll do#
- Reconcile plant daily cash summary reports.
- Assemble documentation for customer refunds.
- Assist with customer pre-lien notifications.
- Scan and file documents.
- Research and resolve customer accounts receivable issues.
- Fill in for inter-company mail route coverage.
- Handle other department tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for accounting or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency with computers, specifically Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions and manage your own workflow.
- Capacity to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
