About the role#
We are looking for an R&D Food Technologist intern for the summer of 2027. You will work with our R&D Application Supervisor and the broader operations team to support product growth in the confectionary industry. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Perham, Minnesota.
What you'll do#
- Create new products for our brands and business-to-business partners.
- Improve existing products and optimize current formulas.
- Engage with customers to gather insights and translate them into prototypes.
- Suggest and build tools to improve internal processes.
- Collaborate with external partners to source new solutions.
- Develop packaging designs and establish product specifications.
- Define expectations for First Production Runs.
- Develop products that address specific customer needs and contribute to strategic planning.
What you'll need#
- You are at least a college Junior pursuing a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- You can commit to 10-12 weeks for the summer 2027 internship program.
- You have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- You work well in a team atmosphere.
