About the role#
KLN Family Brands is seeking an Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work closely with our Plant Engineer and operations teams to support manufacturing initiatives. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site at our facility in Perham, Minnesota. We are looking for students who are serious about a career in manufacturing and want to contribute to our growth.
What you'll do#
- Support capital projects, plant utilities, and equipment improvements.
- Collect and document field data while performing engineering calculations.
- Analyze plant utility usage and maintain project documentation.
- Update equipment records and drawings.
- Conduct vendor research and provide field support.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and external contractors.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and develop improvement recommendations.
- Create 2D and 3D CAD models.
- Design and produce 3D-printed components, tools, and prototypes.
What you'll need#
- Current status as at least a Junior in college pursuing a degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to commit to a 10-12 week program during the summer of 2027.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere.
