About the role#
The Architecture & Innovation team works across the Product Group to deliver breakthroughs in innovation. You will drive the evolution of the Maestro architecture and introduce new technology into the product. This team performs design and prototyping work to de-risk new initiatives and assists the Product Management team in determining technical feasibility. You will also help coordinate the design of new product features across development teams to ensure a consistent technical approach.
What you'll do#
- Help determine the best architecture and technology solutions for software problems.
- Develop software prototypes to prove out architectural ideas.
- Research and recommend appropriate software technology.
- Test your prototypes for function, performance, and scale.
- Perform additional projects as requested.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Science or related program.
- Familiarity with software development in Windows and Linux environments.
- Programming experience with one or more of C/C++.NET/C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, Rust, or SQL.
- Experience with public cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- A strong drive to explore and experiment.
- Familiarity with serverless computing, database concepts, and micro-services development.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, NodeJS, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning, Big Data, and Analytics.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 8 or 12-month internship starting in January 2027.
- The role is based in Ottawa, Ontario, with a hybrid work modality requiring at least three days per week in the office.
- Compensation ranges from $25.24 to $37.02 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
