About the role#
As a Forward Deployed Engineer intern, you will work directly with teams to understand business challenges, analyze data, and design solutions that improve customer processes. This role offers exposure to transformation initiatives while you develop skills in analytics, solution design, and consulting. What you'll do#
- Support the development and testing of tailored technical solutions for complex customer problems.
- Gather, organize, and analyze business data to identify quality gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Create reports, presentations, and dashboards to share project outcomes.
- Assist with solution testing, documentation, research, and training materials.
- Participate in workshops and discovery sessions to understand customer needs.
- Document lessons learned and help build reusable best practice assets.
- Manage your time across multiple concurrent projects.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least 3 years of a degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
- Experience with SQL, Python, C++, or other programming languages.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other business productivity tools.
- Analytical and critical-thinking skills, with exposure to research, reporting, or data analysis.
- A strong sense of ownership and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Demonstrated leadership through athletics, student organizations, research, or volunteer work.
- A customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills.
- Interest in AI, digital transformation, and operational excellence.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 8 or 12-month paid position.
- You must work from our Ottawa or Toronto offices at least three days per week.
- The hourly rate ranges from $27.04 to $39.66, depending on your skills and experience.
