About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring a Transportation Planning Intern for our office in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work with our team on various planning projects, helping to move them from initial concepts to the pre-construction phase.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with complex problem-solving across different disciplines.
- Handle pre-construction planning, project modification, permitting, and analysis.
- Evaluate development proposals to check for zoning compliance.
- Write and prepare planning and land use studies.
- Learn federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal company standards.
- Coordinate with municipal and state agencies.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Planning.
- Relevant majors include City and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or a related field.
