About the role#
Kimley-Horn is seeking an Accounts Payable Intern to join our corporate Business and Accounting team in Phoenix. This is a full-time, on-site internship available during the summer and fall of 2026.
What you'll do#
- Process vendor and sub-consultant invoices, releases, and check requests.
- Review documents for accuracy, proper approvals, valid sales and use tax, and correct general ledger coding.
- Audit expense reports to ensure they follow company policies.
- Communicate with employees to resolve issues regarding receipts or unallowable expenses.
- Verify vendor set-up and payment information.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing an AA, BS, or MS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

- Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
- This is a paid, on-site position. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
