About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship for students interested in retail leadership. You will join the Furnish Your Future Intern Development Program to learn how a retail business runs. You will work directly with store managers and leadership teams to understand the daily operations of our showrooms. This role is based in Reading, Massachusetts, and requires on-site work with some travel to other locations across New England.
What you'll do#
- Learn the ins and outs of retail leadership.
- Gain exposure to customer experience, team development, and sales performance.
- Assist with staffing and business execution tasks.
- Participate in professional development workshops.
- Connect with company leaders through Intern Insights networking sessions.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising college junior or senior pursuing a degree in Business, Retail, or a related field.
- You have a proactive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- You can solve problems, think critically, and work effectively with team members and customers.
- Prior experience in retail, customer service, or a leadership role is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Reading, Massachusetts.
- Term: Summer 2027 (starting June 7, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Full-time, including some weekend shifts.
