About the role#
The Industrial Engineer Co-Op program offers a professional experience within the Johnson & Johnson Texas manufacturing operations. This full-time, six-month position runs from January to June 2027. You will work on-site in Irving, Texas, spending approximately 80% of your time on the manufacturing floor and 20% in an office setting. This role is designed to build experience in manufacturing, engineering, and quality departments.
What you'll do#
- Execute supply chain projects to improve process efficiencies, reduce cycle times, and lower costs.
- Apply process excellence methodologies to make improvements in assigned areas.
- Complete product development tasks, including writing and verifying specifications.
- Maintain documentation and validate equipment, processes, and raw materials.
- Assist in creating designs and approaches for new products or test methods.
- Prepare reports to communicate project results.
- Present your findings to the A&R Texas Leadership Team at the end of the term.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, along with federal and state regulations.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your freshman year at an accredited university.
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically advanced Excel skills.
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
- Previous experience in a professional environment.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in the manufacturing supply chain industry.
- Ability to work full-time without the need for employment visa sponsorship.
- No conflicting internship or employment commitments for the duration of the term.
