About the role#
As an IMM Discovery Intern, you will join a multidisciplinary research and development team focused on advancing novel therapeutics for immune-mediated diseases. You will work on a defined project aligned with an active discovery program, gaining hands-on experience in experimental or computational research. You will receive mentorship and training in study planning, data analysis, and scientific interpretation while collaborating across global teams.
What you'll do#
- Design and execute experimental or computational analysis.
- Collect data and maintain experimental records.
- Participate in department, team, and cross-functional meetings.
- Shadow key functional roles to build professional skills.
- Assist with the interpretation, reporting, and preparation of research results.
- Review literature and explore new technologies.
- Lead specific programs or group projects.
- Prepare and present an abstract or poster at an organization-wide research symposium.
- Handle other projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Current enrollment in an accredited university or college program, with no graduation occurring before or during the internship.
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least six semesters or equivalent quarters; graduate students must be pursuing a master’s, PharmD, Physician Assistant, PhD, or other clinical-related degree.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Current enrollment in biology, cell/molecular biology, chemistry, pre-med, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, clinical pharmacology, clinical or translational research, computational biology, precision medicine, or a similar field.
- Availability to work full time (40 hours per week).
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with solid organizational abilities.
- Ability to balance multiple project deliverables.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word) and Slack.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
