About the role#
Jefferson is hiring a Rehab Extern to support our rehabilitation staff in Philadelphia. This is a full-time, temporary position that provides hands-on exposure to clinical therapy environments. You will work under the supervision of licensed therapists to learn and implement care techniques while supporting daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Prepare patients and equipment for physical therapy sessions and treatments.
- Assist staff with patient mobility, transfers, exercise programs, and functional activities.
- Provide personal care for patients as needed.
- Maintain the clinical environment by cleaning and storing equipment.
- Handle clerical and clinical maintenance tasks to keep the program running smoothly.
- Observe and learn therapy techniques to build your clinical skills.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- Prior volunteer experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Interest in fields such as Health Administration or Kinesiology.
- Ability to follow hospital safety and infection control policies.
