About the role#
Jefferson is seeking a Work Study Student to serve as a Peer Tutor. This role supports the academic success of fellow students by providing subject-specific guidance and fostering an inclusive learning environment. This is a paid, on-site position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Provide academic tutoring and support to fellow students.
- Conduct study sessions in relevant subject areas.
- Assist students in understanding course material and assignments.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a major such as Psychology, Communications, Human Resources, or Sociology.
- Proven academic success in the subjects you intend to tutor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well with peers and in a team environment.
- A commitment to helping others succeed academically.
