About the role#
Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital is hiring for full-time Clinical Student Interns in phlebotomy. This role involves training under the supervision of a Clinical Educator to perform essential diagnostic support tasks. You will work directly with patients and families across all age groups, from neonates to older adults.
What you'll do#
- Collect, transport, and process medical specimens.
- Assist in diagnostic procedures and operate medical equipment.
- Manage and protect confidential patient information.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families using age-appropriate care concepts.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Selection for enrollment in the Providence School of Phlebotomy training program.
- Ability to obtain Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification within 6 months of your hire date.
