    About the role#

    Irving Pulp & Paper is seeking Chemical Engineering students for a fall work term in Saint John, New Brunswick. This role supports the kraft pulp mill operations, which specialize in fiber for premium tissue products.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide technical support and engineering services to the Operations department.
    • Contribute to process engineering improvement projects across the site.
    • Monitor processes and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvements in productivity, quality, and cost.
    • Track effluent characteristics to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
    • Participate in troubleshooting process, environmental, and operational issues.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering and in good academic standing.
    • A team-oriented approach with a safety-first mindset.
    • Ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • A long-term interest in an engineering career.
