About the role#
Irving Pulp & Paper is hiring Chemical Engineering students for the Fall 2026 term. You will work at our mill in Saint John, New Brunswick. This is a full-time, paid position for students currently pursuing their degree.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support and services to the Operations department.
- Support process engineering services for site-wide improvement projects.
- Monitor processes and analyze data to find ways to improve productivity, quality, and cost.
- Track effluent characteristics to ensure we meet all legal requirements.
- Help troubleshoot operational, environmental, and process issues.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering and remain in good academic standing.
- You have a safety-first mindset and work well in a team.
- You can manage your time effectively across multiple projects.
- You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- You have a long-term interest in pursuing an engineering career.
