About the role#
Irving Pulp & Paper is seeking Chemical Engineering students for a full-time, paid work term during the Fall 2026 semester. This position is based on-site in Saint John or Utopia, New Brunswick.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support and services to the Operations department.
- Deliver process engineering services as part of site-wide improvement projects.
- Perform process monitoring and data analysis to identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost.
- Monitor effluent characteristics to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Participate in troubleshooting process, environmental, and operational issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering and in good academic standing.
- A team-oriented approach with a safety-first mindset.
- Ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A long-term interest in an engineering career.
