About the role#
Irving Pulp & Paper is seeking Chemical Engineering students for a full-time work term during the Fall 2026 semester. Based in Saint John and Utopia, New Brunswick, this role offers the opportunity to work within a kraft pulp mill that produces fiber for premium tissue products.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support and services to the Operations department.
- Contribute process engineering services to site-wide improvement projects.
- Monitor processes and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvements in productivity, quality, and cost.
- Track effluent characteristics to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Participate in troubleshooting efforts for operational, environmental, and process-related issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Chemical Engineering degree program with good academic standing.
- A safety-first mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively across multiple projects.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A long-term interest in pursuing a career in engineering.
