About the role#
This internship offers a look into the operations of a transportation and logistics company. You will work under supervision to support customer service and daily logistics tasks. The role is designed for students who want to learn how freight planning, safety compliance, and driver management function in a real-world setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily operational tasks including freight planning and asset utilization.
- Support safety management and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance.
- Help with driver payroll and supervision.
- Gain insight into logistics analysis, profit-and-loss management, and maintenance coordination.
- Learn about industry trends and company initiatives regarding driver retention.
- Handle account-specific duties and other assigned responsibilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
