About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to learn transportation and logistics management principles within a real-world setting. You will work under close supervision to support customer service and operational efficiency. This is a part-time position designed for students to gain hands-on experience in the transportation industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily operational tasks, including freight planning and asset utilization.
- Support core business functions like driver payroll, safety management, and DOT compliance.
- Gain insight into logistics analysis, profit-and-loss management, and maintenance coordination.
- Participate in initiatives focused on driver supervision and retention.
- Execute account-specific duties and other tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and work hours.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
