About the role#
This is a rolling, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in the transportation and logistics industry. Interns are treated as contributors, gaining direct exposure to business operations and logistics management. The role is intended to prepare students for potential full-time employment upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Manage partner carriers to ensure on-time service and troubleshoot freight delivery issues.
- Negotiate transportation rates with carriers to meet specific profit goals.
- Learn to market and promote company solutions to both existing and prospective customers.
- Manage a network of partner carriers to move freight efficiently.
- Build professional relationships through networking and resolve complex logistics problems.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations Management.
- A GPA of at least 2.7, though 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Availability to work between 20 and 40 hours per week.
