Operations Intern (Annual)

About the role#

This is an annual, part-time operations internship based in Chicago, Illinois. You will work directly with our supply chain team to gain hands-on experience in transportation and logistics. This role is designed for students who want to contribute to business operations and build professional skills in a practical environment.

What you'll do#

• Manage partner carriers to ensure consistent, on-time service.
• Negotiate transportation rates with carriers to meet specific profit goals.
• Monitor in-transit freight and troubleshoot delivery issues as they arise.
• Train to market and promote transportation solutions to existing and prospective customers.
• Develop a network of partner carriers to move freight efficiently and profitably.
• Build professional relationships and gain fluency in industry operations.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a junior or senior in a degree program such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations Management.
• A minimum GPA of 2.7, with a 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Availability to work 20-40 hours per week, with flexibility provided for class schedules.
