About the role#
This is a 10-week, full-time paid internship for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a national trailer leasing company. This role is not limited to a desk. You will work in the office, interact with customers and vendors, and spend time outdoors in the branch yard to learn how equipment and people keep the business moving.
What you'll do#
- Inspect commercial trailer equipment for safety, condition, and compliance with Federal Highway Guidelines.
- Assist with daily inbound and outbound gate activity to maintain accurate equipment flow.
- Coordinate trailer maintenance and repair work with vendors alongside operations staff.
- Support customers visiting the branch and communicate with them via phone and email.
- Assist with equipment movement between branches, customers, and vendors to learn fleet logistics.
- Help with rental and leasing agreements, insurance reviews, and operational documentation.
- Support branch and corporate teams with projects focused on operational excellence.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree or graduate program, with a preference for Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
- A GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- An interest in operations, logistics, fleet management, transportation, or branch leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working in both office and outdoor branch-yard environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

- Location: Plano, Texas.
- Term: May 31, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
