About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in transportation brokerage operations. You will work within our supply chain department to learn how we establish carrier bases and manage margins. The role focuses on practical exposure to market dynamics and negotiation strategies while supporting daily brokerage activities.
What you'll do#
- Verify carrier authenticity and keep accurate shipment records.
- Monitor freight movement to ensure we meet service expectations.
- Build your understanding of market trends, pricing strategies, and capacity challenges.
- Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers to communicate service updates.
- Learn to use company technology and tools to streamline workflows and manage loads.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- Junior or Senior academic standing is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
- This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
