About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in transportation and logistics operations. You will work under supervision to support customer service needs and learn core management principles within the industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with transportation and logistics services for customers.
- Participate in daily operations including freight planning, asset utilization, and safety management.
- Help with DOT compliance, driver payroll, and maintenance coordination.
- Support driver supervision and profit-and-loss management tasks.
- Analyze logistics data and learn about industry trends, including driver retention initiatives.
- Complete account-specific tasks and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and directives.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Junior or Senior academic standing is preferred.
