About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in transportation brokerage operations at J.B. Hunt. You will gain exposure to market dynamics, carrier negotiation strategies, and the tools used to deliver logistics solutions. The role focuses on building a carrier base and learning how to manage margins while maintaining service standards.
What you'll do#
- Verify carrier authenticity and keep accurate shipment records.
- Monitor freight movement to meet service expectations.
- Build an understanding of market trends, pricing strategies, and capacity challenges.
- Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers.
- Use technology and tools to streamline workflows and manage loads.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- Junior or Senior level standing is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
- This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
