About the role#
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is hiring an Operations Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This part-time position is based on-site in Dallas, Texas. You will support our team by assisting with transportation and logistics services for our customers.
What you'll do#
- Learn the basics of transportation management principles.
- Participate in daily operational tasks, such as planning freight.
- Assist with asset utilization, safety management, and DOT compliance.
- Help with driver payroll, logistics analysis, and maintenance coordination.
- Gain insight into industry trends and initiatives regarding driver retention.
- Complete account-specific duties and other assigned tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations Management.
- Junior or Senior level status is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
- A willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
