About the role#
The Digital and Design Student Assistant supports instructors across several digital design courses, including 2-D Design, Graphic Design I, Graphic Design II/III, and Digital Studio. You will help faculty prepare materials, manage the studio, and assist students during and outside of class sessions.
What you'll do#
- Support instructors in and out of class sessions.
- Prepare demonstration materials and assist with classroom activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized studio environment in the Gannett 129 Digital Lab.
- Manage inventory and instructional materials.
- Engage with students, provide mentorship, and host tutoring sessions.
- Perform routine maintenance on digital and analog equipment.
- Assist with library research and image searches.
What you'll need#
- Current status as an Art Major, Art Minor, or Graphic Design Minor.
- Completion of ART 12000 and 22500.
- Familiarity with Gannett 129 Digital Lab processes and protocols.
- Knowledge of cameras, printers, scanners, and creative software.
- Reliability, clear communication, and attention to safety.
- Preference is given to those who have completed ART 32500 or 28000.
