The Ithaca College Annual Fund is seeking Student Callers for the Phonathon Program. This position offers students the opportunity to gain professional experience, develop leadership and communication skills, and build a deeper understanding of philanthropy. This is a paid, on-site role that requires balancing academic responsibilities with shift commitments.
What you'll do#
- Inform alumni and parents about campus events, news, and initiatives via calling, texting, and emailing.
- Professionally communicate the mission and priorities of Ithaca College.
- Ask alumni and parents to support the College through credit card gifts, pledges, or checks.
- Maintain and update donor records and information.
- Accept coaching and feedback from student managers, supervisors, and Annual Fund staff to improve performance.
- Meet established performance standards while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
- Uphold all employment and confidentiality agreements.
What you'll need#
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at Ithaca College.
- Familiarity with the Ithaca College campus, its history, and current activities.
- A courteous and engaging personality with a clear, effective telephone speaking style.
- Ability to present information concisely and persuasively.
- Strong time-management skills to balance schoolwork and job hours.
- Ability to follow directions and accurately record data.
- Interest in supporting Ithaca College.
Location & details#
- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Employees are required to work two shifts per week. Shifts are available Monday through Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Compensation: $16.00 per hour.
- Note: This position is subject to a criminal background check and requires completion of I-9 employment eligibility documentation.
