About the role#
Ithaca College is seeking Physical Therapy Teaching Assistants for various courses during the Fall 2026 semester. These positions support faculty in labs, facilitate student learning, and supervise open lab sessions. This is a paid, on-site, part-time opportunity for students in Kinesiology, Biomedical Sciences, or Health Administration.
What you'll do#
Responsibilities vary by course and may include:
- Demonstrating techniques and answering student questions during labs.
- Independently supervising weekly open lab sessions.
- Assisting with the setup, proctoring, and grading of practical exams.
- Participating in small group discussions and anatomy demonstrations.
- Assisting with the coordination and transport of specialized equipment.
- Supporting course instructors with grading, documentation, and maintenance of lab spaces or materials.
What you'll need#
- Good academic standing at Ithaca College.
- Specific course prerequisites, typically a grade of B+ or better in the relevant subject matter.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills, professional demeanor, and high motivation.
- Punctuality, proactivity, and the ability to work independently.

- Pay rate: $16.00 per hour.
- Hours: Vary by position, generally ranging from 2 to 9 hours per week.
