    About the role#

    This position supports the ART-450 Portfolio course taught by Danny Samuels. You will assist senior-level BFA students as they prepare for careers in the video game and film industries. The role involves organizational tasks, instructional support, and providing feedback on student work and presentations.

    What you'll do#

    • Track assignment submissions and student progress using spreadsheets.
    • Review student work to ensure requirements are met before the instructor grades them.
    • Provide constructive feedback on the clarity, completeness, and criteria alignment of student projects.
    • Monitor student presentations and offer real-time notes.
    • Advise students on delivery, communication, and professional presentation skills.
    • Help students refine their art and portfolio work to meet industry standards.
    • Assist with the setup and management of peer review sessions.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Experience using Google Sheets or Excel.
    • Knowledge of professional portfolio standards within the video game industry.
    • Ability to provide constructive, supportive feedback on art and presentations.
    • Prior experience in teaching, mentorship, or peer review is preferred.
    • Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Redmond, Washington. You must reside in Washington state to perform this work.
    • Term: Fall 2026 (August 31 to December 15, 2026).
    • Hours: 3 to 6 hours per week.
    • Schedule: Class meets Tuesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. You cannot work during your own scheduled classes.
    • Pay: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on your number of terms worked at DigiPen.
    • Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks requiring fine finger dexterity.
