Fall 2026 Operations Intern

About the role#

Invariant is seeking an Operations Intern for the fall 2026 term. This role supports the operations team in managing firm-wide activities, logistics, and administrative projects. Interns are expected to work on-site in Washington, DC, starting August 31, 2026. This is a full-time, paid position offering $19/hour for undergraduate candidates and $24/hour for graduate candidates.

What you'll do#

• Execute firm, client, fundraising, and charity events, including client fly-ins, team meetings, and office usage.
• Provide on-site support during scheduled events.
• Assist with scheduling, invoice tracking, and various operational projects.
• Perform additional operational and administrative duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Previous experience in events, operations, human resources, or administration.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and late nights.
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines with high attention to detail.
• A proactive approach and willingness to take initiative.
• Preferred majors include Operations Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or Political Science.
