About the role#
Invariant is seeking Government Relations Interns for the fall 2026 term. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Washington, DC. Interns will gain exposure to the legislative process through substantive assignments and mentorship opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Monitor federal legislation and summarize congressional hearings.
- Draft briefing documents and conduct research.
- Interact with clients and congressional staff.
- Support firm needs as dictated by the congressional calendar.
What you'll need#
- Previous experience with the federal legislative process, such as a congressional internship.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to take initiative.
- Capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Pursuing a degree in Political Science, International Relations, Communications, or Public Health.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, DC (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026, beginning August 31, 2026.
- Compensation: $19/hour for undergraduate candidates; $24/hour for graduate candidates.
