About the role#
This internship offers students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of college campus ministry while serving as a part-time, paid staff member. The program is designed to provide hands-on experience in the NY and NJ region, allowing interns to discern a long-term call to ministry while receiving training in leadership, fundraising, and spiritual formation. This position is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college, with specific standing requirements based on the institution type.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the campus ministry team to help cast spiritual vision and achieve growth goals.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by building witnessing communities that are ethnically diverse and bold.
- Proclaim the Gospel and assist students and faculty in developing strategic thinking for campus outreach.
- Model and encourage a prayerful lifestyle, particularly for those who do not yet follow Jesus.
- Serve as an ambassador for the organization by communicating ministry efforts to partners and churches.
- Engage in ongoing training and supervision to develop skills in recruitment, goal setting, and leadership.
What you'll need#
- A status as a follower of Jesus Christ and a willingness to annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
- A developing passion for evangelism.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, cross-cultural competence, and relational maturity.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a teachable spirit.
- Academic background in fields such as Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, Philosophy, History, or English.

- Compensation: This is a paid position. Compensation is funded through personal fundraising, and the individual is responsible for securing a donor team to cover the salary.
