About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of college campus ministry. The role is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college who wish to grow in spiritual understanding, biblical knowledge, and ministry leadership. You will work under the guidance of a staff ministry trainer or director to discern your call to ministry and develop daily spiritual disciplines.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and achieve goals for growth.
- Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Advance the mission of the organization by helping build witnessing communities that are bold, broad, and ethnically diverse.
- Proclaim the Gospel and assist students in developing strategic thinking regarding their witness to the university.
- Model and encourage a love for people of every culture and ethnicity, while fostering a prayerful lifestyle among students.
- Serve as an ambassador to ministry partners and churches by discussing mission efforts and accomplishments.
- Engage with training and supervision to improve ministry skills and assist with reporting tasks.
What you'll need#
- You must be a follower of Jesus Christ and be able to annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
- A developing passion for evangelism.
- Strong leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, and cultural competence.
- Professionalism, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to work well within a team.
- Excellent communication skills and relational maturity.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Psychology, or Sociology.

- This position is based in the Michigan Lower Peninsula region.
- Work is performed on-site.
- This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling application term.
