Student Intern - Michigan Lower Peninsula Region (Undergraduate Ministry)

About the role#

This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry within the Michigan Lower Peninsula region. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college to develop their leadership skills, deepen their biblical knowledge, and discern a potential call to ministry service. This is a part-time, paid position.

What you'll do#

• Participate in campus ministry team activities to help cast spiritual vision and direction.
• Contribute to the team’s plans for spiritual growth and student transformation.
• Teach students how to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
• Promote the mission on campus by helping build witnessing communities that are ethnically diverse and bold.
• Proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel while helping students develop strategic thinking for campus outreach.
• Model and encourage a love for people of all cultures and ethnicities.
• Engage in ongoing training and supervision with your assigned staff ministry trainer or director.
• Serve as an ambassador for the organization to local churches and ministry partners.

What you'll need#

• You are a follower of Jesus Christ who can annually affirm the organization's Statement of Agreement.
• You possess a developing passion for evangelism.
• You demonstrate core leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, cross-cultural competence, professionalism, and relational maturity.
• You are eager to learn and work effectively within a team.
• Preference is given to students based on academic standing: second-year students for community colleges and third-year or higher for four-year institutions.

• Location: Michigan, United States.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: This position is funded through personal fundraising; compensation depends on the individual's ability to secure a donor team. The anticipated pay range is $15.06 - $20.08 per hour.
