About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. The role is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college to develop their leadership skills, spiritual understanding, and ministry experience. Interns work under the supervision of a staff ministry trainer or director to discern a potential call to long-term ministry service.
What you'll do#
- Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to proclaim the Gospel and developing strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
- Model and assist students and faculty in growing in their appreciation for diverse ethnicities and cultures.
- Serve as an ambassador of InterVarsity to ministry partners and churches through prayer and discussion of ministry efforts.
What you'll need#
- Must be a follower of Jesus Christ and annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
- Enrollment as a student in a four-year or community college.
- A developing passion for evangelism.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including self-awareness, cultural awareness, communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Eagerness to learn and cross-cultural competence.
Location & details#
- Location: Remote (Georgia).
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Compensation: This position is funded through personal fundraising. The individual is responsible for securing a donor team to fund the cost of their salary. The anticipated full-time equivalent salary range is $31,320.00 – $41,772.00 per year, dependent on factors including location and the ability to raise the necessary funds.
