Student Intern -- Georgia (Undergraduate Ministry)

About the role#

This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. The role is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college to develop their leadership skills, spiritual understanding, and ministry experience. Interns work under the supervision of a staff ministry trainer or director to discern a potential call to long-term ministry service.

What you'll do#

• Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
• Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
• Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to proclaim the Gospel and developing strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
• Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
• Model and assist students and faculty in growing in their appreciation for diverse ethnicities and cultures.
• Serve as an ambassador of InterVarsity to ministry partners and churches through prayer and discussion of ministry efforts.

What you'll need#

• Must be a follower of Jesus Christ and annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
• Enrollment as a student in a four-year or community college.
• A developing passion for evangelism.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including self-awareness, cultural awareness, communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Eagerness to learn and cross-cultural competence.

Location & details#

• Location: Remote (Georgia).
• Employment type: Part-time.
• Compensation: This position is funded through personal fundraising. The individual is responsible for securing a donor team to fund the cost of their salary. The anticipated full-time equivalent salary range is $31,320.00 – $41,772.00 per year, dependent on factors including location and the ability to raise the necessary funds.
