About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. It is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college who wish to develop their leadership skills and spiritual understanding. Interns work under the supervision of a staff ministry trainer or director to gain practical experience in ministry service.
What you'll do#
- Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to proclaim the Gospel and assisting students in developing strategic thinking regarding witness to the university.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle in students, with a focus on those who do not yet follow Jesus.
- Serve as an ambassador of InterVarsity to individual ministry partners and churches through prayer and discussion of ministry efforts.
- Engage with supervision and training to grow in biblical knowledge and ministry skills.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate campus ministry leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, communication, professionalism, and relational maturity.
- You are currently enrolled in a college or university program.
Location & details#
- This is a remote, part-time position based in Georgia.
- This role is paid, with compensation funded through personal fundraising. Actual salary depends on the individual's ability to secure a donor team.
- Benefits include health insurance, retirement savings plans with matching, dental and vision insurance, and paid time off, subject to eligibility based on hours worked.
