About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry. It is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college. The role supports the mission of InterVarsity by developing leadership skills, spiritual understanding, and ministry experience.
What you'll do#
- Participate and engage with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Contribute to the team's plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students to study, love, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus to build witnessing communities that are broader, bolder, and more ethnically diverse.
- Seek opportunities to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Assist with reporting and serve as an ambassador to ministry partners and churches.
- Engage with supervision and training provided by staff ministry directors.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
- A developing passion for evangelism.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, communication, professionalism, and cross-cultural competence.
- A commitment to teamwork and relational maturity.
- Enrollment status requirements: Second-year students and community college students may intern at a two-year or community college. Third-year students and higher may work at a four-year or community college. Non-InterVarsity students at Christian colleges must have third or fourth-year standing.
Location & details#
- This position is remote and based in Oregon.
- The role is part-time.
- This is a paid position funded through personal fundraising. Compensation is dependent on the individual's ability to secure a donor team to fund the salary.
