About the role#
We are seeking a Data Analyst Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This position offers hands-on experience in analytics, reporting, and data visualization. You will work alongside business and technical teams to turn data into insights that support decision-making within our industrial and technology-driven projects. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources for analysis and reporting.
- Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Identify trends, correlations, and insights to support business decisions.
- Support data projects, including data modeling, process improvements, and system integrations.
- Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business users to provide actionable information.
- Document data processes to maintain accuracy and consistency across reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of business analytics concepts and data visualization techniques.
- Familiarity with SQL or other database query languages.
- Basic knowledge of predictive analytics, statistics, or data modeling.
- Experience with analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, R, or Python.
- Interest in how data supports decision-making in industrial environments.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in either Sioux Center, Iowa, or Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
- The internship takes place during the Winter 2027 term.
- Minimal travel may be required for training and team collaboration.
