Paid Fall Music Group Publishing Intern

About the role#

Insomniac Events is seeking a motivated Publishing Intern to join the records team in Calabasas, California. This hands-on role focuses on catalog management, metadata organization, and the intersection of creative and business operations within music publishing. You will report directly to the Music Group Publishing Manager and gain experience in supporting the lifecycle of music assets.

What you'll do#

• Track ISWCs and audit publishing records to ensure data accuracy.
• Manage catalog organization by tagging and adding split information for exploited songs in DISCO.
• Upload audio files to the Master Publishing Rights sheet.
• Support the creation of writer spotlights for social media, marketing, and sync opportunities.
• Assist with the maintenance of publishing social channels, artist bios, and website content.
• Contribute to website upgrades and general publishing department projects.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, with a focus in Business Administration, Communications, Media Studies, or Marketing.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
