Insomniac - Paid Fall Legal Intern

About the role#

Insomniac Events is seeking a motivated and proactive Legal Intern to join the legal team in Calabasas, California. This paid internship offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in the entertainment industry by supporting the VP of Business & Legal Affairs. The role requires a commitment of 16-29 hours per week.

What you'll do#

• Learn how laws and regulations are actively applied and implemented in a real-world setting.
• Prepare, review, analyze, and finalize transactional documents.
• Analyze issues pertinent to the development of production and programming.
• Perform general research related to the business and gain exposure to applied law.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school as a rising 2L or 3L.
• Coursework related to contracts, copyright, and entertainment or media law is preferred.
• Previous industry experience prior to law school is a plus.
• Ability to work in an open-concept office space and attend to duties during holidays, evenings, and weekends as required to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work on-site at various event locations, which may involve loud noise levels and varied temperature climates.
