About the role#
The Guest Experience Programs Intern supports the planning and execution of the Guest Experience Non-Profit Program and College Program. You will work with the Guest Experience & Programs Coordinator to manage seasonal staff, handle event-day logistics, and assist with administrative operations. This role requires flexibility to work office hours during the week and extended hours, including weekends, during event periods.
What you'll do#
- Support application and onboarding processes for seasonal employees.
- Manage the Guest Experience Non-Profit database and coordinate check-in operations.
- Compose correspondence and communicate schedules to program participants.
- Assist with recruitment efforts and plan staff events.
- Troubleshoot staffing issues, such as no-show coverage and over-fulfillment.
- Resolve customer service concerns and provide on-the-ground support during events.
- Collect and report on program fulfillment rates and post-event feedback.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Guest Experience department.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university.
- Strong interest in event planning, execution, and staffing operations.
- Ability to solve problems quickly with minimal supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills and organizational ability.
- Cultural competence and experience working in diverse environments.
- Previous experience in the IMS College Program is preferred.
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Location & details#
- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Duration: January 2026 through June 2026.
- Schedule: 10-15 hours per week from January to April and June; 40+ hours per week during May, including weekends and evenings.
