About the role#
This internship provides exposure to the farm and crop insurance sales process. You will learn how insurance protects agricultural operations while working alongside experienced agents. The role focuses on building an understanding of risk management and customer service through hands-on projects.
What you'll do#
- Shadow experienced farm insurance agents during sales activities and customer meetings.
- Research and build a database of farm opportunities to identify new prospects.
- Develop sales support materials and talking points for client outreach.
- Represent the company at county and state-level agricultural events and trade shows.
- Contribute to projects that support business growth and client engagement.
What you'll need#
- Interest in agricultural insurance and a passion for supporting rural communities.
- Working knowledge of or experience with farming operations.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while staying engaged with the team.
- Initiative to manage daily responsibilities and projects.
- Eagerness to learn sales techniques and industry knowledge.
- Preference for majors in Economics, Marketing, Agriculture, or related fields.
