About the role#
Join the People Are Why team as an Events & Engagement Intern. You will gain experience in event planning and employee engagement while working with a supportive team. This role involves organizing company events, managing administrative tasks, and contributing to company culture. It is a hands-on position for students who enjoy staying organized and seeing projects move from planning to execution.
What you'll do#
- Support event ticketing and respond to employee requests.
- Coordinate logistics such as invitations, schedules, and vendor management.
- Assist in the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events.
- Contribute to employee engagement projects.
- Perform post-event follow-up and capture process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, specifically Word and Excel.
- Flexibility and the ability to manage changing priorities.
- Experience working in a fast-paced setting, including school, work, or volunteer roles.
- Ability to work in the US on a full-time basis.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or Human Resources.
