Process Engineering Intern

About the role#

IFF is seeking engineering students for a full-time co-op program at our Health & Biosciences site in Madison, Wisconsin. This role offers hands-on experience in manufacturing technology, focusing on core engineering competencies including data analysis, project leadership, and process safety management.

What you'll do#

• Lead projects through investigation, scope, design, and implementation to improve safety and capacity.
• Build data visualization dashboards within the plant historian system.
• Provide capital project support, including assistance with commissioning and start-up activities during plant shutdowns.
• Support engineers during plant trials and production or maintenance troubleshooting.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, including Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMPs, Dietary Supplements, and HACCP-HARPC standards.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the Summer and Fall of 2027.
• Commitment to working safely and complying with all corporate and site EHS guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to complete projects independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
