About the role#
The Chemours Company is seeking a Chemical Engineer Co-op to join the Manufacturing Technology team at the Corpus Christi site. This position provides hands-on experience in a chemical plant environment, working alongside experienced engineering professionals to apply academic knowledge to real-time engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects.
- Assist operations and maintenance teams with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
- Participate in process safety management activities and reviews.
- Contribute to team meetings and conference calls.
- Support the development of process technology.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at the time of the assignment.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A GPA of 3.2 or above is preferred.
- Participation in relevant activities, organizations, or projects beyond the classroom is preferred.
- Enthusiasm for working in a chemical plant setting.
Location & details#
- Location: Corpus Christi, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026 (Preferred first term: Spring 2026).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
