About the role#
The Chemours Company is hiring a Chemical Engineer Intern to join the Ore Technology team. You will work under the guidance of scientists and principal investigators on the Titanium Technologies team. This is a full-time, 5-month internship running from January to May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with R&D professionals on process technology projects.
- Design, build, and operate lab-scale unit operations including reactors, mixers, pumps, filters, and ovens.
- Participate in process safety management activities and reviews.
- Manage data analysis and recordkeeping for multiple projects.
- Share findings with team members and contribute to meetings and conference calls.
- Maintain safe handling practices for chemicals and chemical processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a Junior or above in an accredited Chemical Engineering or related undergraduate program.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Hands-on experience building laboratory setups.
- Practical experience with chemicals and chemical processes such as reaction engineering, thermodynamics, titration, filtration, and distillation.
Location & details#
- Newark, Delaware.
- This is an on-site, full-time position.
