About the role#
As a Process Engineer Intern or Co-Op at IFF, you will gain practical experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role focuses on integrating classroom theory with real-world application, allowing you to contribute to safety and capacity improvements while supporting plant operations.
What you'll do#
- Lead engineering projects through investigation, scope, design, and implementation phases.
- Provide support to engineers during plant trials and production or maintenance troubleshooting.
- Comply with all company policies, including Quality, Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental guidelines.
- Adhere to quality systems, including ISO 22000 Food Safety, FAMI-QS, and NSF Dietary Supplements.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance with all corporate and site EHS guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Basic understanding of microbiological concepts and assays.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Term: Summer 2027 (Spring and Summer 2027 also considered).
- Compensation: Paid position.
