About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work on transportation data analysis, research, and planning studies. You will join our Transportation Line of Business, which focuses on sustainable transportation, mobility, and environmental impacts. This is a 10-week summer program.
What you'll do#
- Draft project materials based on research into transportation topics.
- Assist in creating accurate and high-quality project deliverables.
- Provide meeting support by preparing materials, hosting virtual sessions, taking notes, and writing summary documents.
What you'll need#
- At least 30 credit hours in transportation, environmental science, energy, public policy, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, as well as virtual meeting platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- An interest in transportation planning, policy, finance, funding, or data visualization.
- Preference is given to those who have completed a bachelor’s degree and are enrolled in a master’s program, or those who have completed at least 9 graduate-level credit hours in a relevant field.
Location & details#
- The role is based in Arlington, Virginia.
- This is a hybrid position requiring you to be on-site 2 days per week.
- The internship is a full-time commitment starting in early June and ending in early August 2027.
- This position is paid.
- We are unable to provide relocation or housing assistance for this role.
